GRADUATES OF THE FIRST AID TRAINING:

• Appropriately assist with CPR and defibrillation

• Effectively control bleeding

• Become more marketable and qualified in the workplace

• Properly communicate with first responders and/or bystanders

• Use correct body mechanics

• Assess and treat injuries to limbs

• Respond appropriately to burns

• Identify and assess altered mental status

First Aid covers common scenarios including bleeding, burns, poisoning, shock, and respiratory emergencies. We'll break it down for you in more detail, but in a nutshell, you'll leave your CPR and First Aid classes with the knowledge, skills, experience, and confidence you need to help save a life.

Our program is designed to teach you the skills and knowledge of being certified in First Aid. You will understand and be able to demonstrate proper techniques while being aware of the importance of first aid, CPR, and defibrillation. This certification is sure to put you ahead of the competition. 

WHERE EDUCATION PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES

The First Aid training program will introduce students to the skills and knowledge of properly performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), defibrillation, and First Aid. The program will offer a First Aid certification that is highly recommended for those who are trying to pursue advanced placement in the workplace. The certification is also beneficial for those who are around children and elderly people; this population has a higher risk of choking, falling and drowning which will require emergent care.

CREDENTIALS AWARDED:

Students who successfully complete the 2.5-hour training course, must

take the American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver’s examination. The examination consists of two parts. The first part involves the skills check-off list. Students must successfully pass the skills check-off with 100% before they are eligible to sit for the written exam. Students must pass the skills check-off and the written exam before they are awarded the Heartsaver First Aid Certification.
