About the Course
GRADUATES OF THE STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN PROGRAM WILL BE ABLE TO:
● understand their scope of practice
● properly sterilize surgical instruments
● know the proper PPE to don & doff for an aseptic technique
● work in a company’s sterile processing department Sterile Processing Technician
CREDENTIALS AWARDED: Students who successfully complete 165 program hours will be awarded a Certificate of Completion. Students who complete 400 hours of clinical hands- on experience will be eligible to sit for their Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) national exam from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA). Other specialized certifications the Sterile Processing Technician graduate are able to receive from HSPA are the Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER),Certified Instrument Specialist (CIS), Certified Healthcare Leader (CHL), and Certified Central Service Vendor Partner (CCSVP).
